chance
Chance is a concept, not unlike automatism; a work that is derived from a chaotic act loosely based on ‘chance’ can be regarded to be automatic simply because of its method of conception or process of conception is in one’s subconscious and may not be necessarily logical or nor can the act of doing the work be structurally defined as a process. Jackson Pollock’s drip painting style or method fall under this category, and the famous automatic musician whose name left me would also be regarded as forms of art created from chance.
Another artist whose work has the same intensity, and depth, uses chaos and chance as a catalyst and intrument is well-kown british musician Brian Eno, whose 77millionpaintings is sheer delight to watch.
