The giraffe is a simple experiment in using natural finished timber with a highly polished stainless steel or powder-coated galvanised top for a high-stool bar chair design made in the 1990’s for Chilli’s, a restaurant outlet in Cheras Leisure Mall in Kuala Lumpur. The idea that the materials normally used for chairs are now swapped, makes this an interesting proposition, so that now the feet are of wood material and the seat a metal.
